Antonio de Torres 1863 a spectacular guitar built by Enrique Garcia in 1913.

This guitar really is a rarity. Equipped with an Antonio de Torres label, it initially amazed us. After intensive research and the help of numerous experts, we were then able to explain the exact origin of the guitar.
Enrique Garcia built about 10 such Torres guitars on demand. The year on the label plus 50 years corresponds to the year the guitar was built (1913). In 1921, the guitar was returned to Enrique Garcia's store and minor repairs were carried out by Francisco Simplicio, who also left a small note on the side of the label.

This guitar truly deserves to be regarded as one of the great masterpieces of guitar making. It is clearly a replica of a guitar by Antonio de Torres from the so-called first era.
The guitar sounds and plays just as magical as it looks - it has that hard-to-describe sound quality of the good old master guitars. It fascinates with lyrical highs and deep basses. This effect is further enhanced by the fact that the guitar is fitted with a “tornavoz” - a conical tube attached to the sound hole that gives the basses a pleasant hum and brings brilliant clarity to the trebles.

The guitar enchants the player with a mystical sound that offers a wide range of the most beautiful timbres.

The guitar has a fine spruce top and impressive rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 50 mm. It has a few older repairs on the top and one on the back, but is in very good condition for its age.

It comes with an old suitcase and a certificate.
