Anselmo Solar Gonzalez was born in Valle de Nalon in 1918. As a guitar maker, he won prizes at exhibitions for his guitars as early as 1938. A short time later, he moved to Madrid and worked for the great Santos Hernandez. There he was able to further improve his skills. After Santos Hernandez's death, he continued to build guitars for Hernandez's widow together with Marcelo Barbero until 1948.
He then opened his own workshop and remained in Madrid until his death, where he built top-class handmade guitars for many years.
