Andreas Wahl 2004 Classical Guitar - This beautiful master guitar by Andreas Wahl from 2004 is an outstanding example of traditional European guitar making.
Andreas Wahl, who has been making guitars since the 1970s, completed his training in the renowned Hopf workshop under Dragan Musulin and then passed his master craftsman's examination. In his own workshop, he produces high-quality concert guitars and restores historical instruments, which serve as inspiration for his handmade top models.
This special instrument was consistently crafted from native European woods. The top is made of fine-grained spruce, while the sides and back are made of fine wild cherry. The neck was made from alder, and black colored oak was used for the headstock, bridge, purfling and fingerboard. This selection of woods not only gives the guitar a unique, natural appearance, but also an exceptional tonal quality.
The sound is warm, transparent and excellently balanced. The basses are present and clear, the mids are defined and the trebles have a wonderful brilliance. The easy response and impressive dynamics make this instrument equally suitable for fine solo playing and powerful chord accompaniments.
The guitar is excellently set up and extremely comfortable to play. With a comfortable string action of 3.7 mm (electric bass) and 3 mm (electric treble), a scale length of 65 cm and a nut width of 52 mm, it offers the best playability for a wide variety of playing techniques.
The original shellac polish is still in very good condition, apart from a few slight traces of use, which give the guitar its charming character.
A wonderful instrument for players looking for a masterfully crafted guitar with a unique sound and excellent playability.
