This flamenco guitar was built by Alfonso Checa in Baza (Granada) in 1975.

Alfonso Checa and his studio's instruments were awarded the gold medal at the international trade fair in Madrid (1953). A few years later they also received the highest prize at the exhibition in Ronda. During his life he built guitars for Gerundino Fernandez and Antonio Marin Montero. He was highly respected among Granada's guitar makers.

He taught his children, who continue to run his business to this day.

This guitar was made from very beautiful wood. The top is made of very high quality German spruce. The back and sides are made of very fine cypress.

The sound is excellent. The bass has a very special depth and the treble is very clear.
Very lightly built, this guitar develops an enormous volume and a crisp flamenco sound. Deep basses, clear and balanced mids and bright trebles.
The mature vintage nuance rounds off the excellent sound and fascinates players and listeners alike.
The scale length is 657 mm and the nut width is 53 mm.

The condition is very good and completely original. The guitar is in very good condition, without cracks, breaks or repairs.
