The Voboam family of guitar makers was active in Paris from 1640 to 1740. They were the leading guitar makers at the time and produced guitars of the highest quality.

This guitar is a very nice specimen, because the maker has really thought about how to make baroque guitars available for the modern guitarist. This guitar can be tuned like a normal guitar or in baroque tuning. The professional construction gives this guitar a unique sound.
The sound is really surprising - transparent and light. Very clear and absolutely charming. The guitar also has good sustain and captivates with fine and sweet tones. The spruce top gives the sound a nice touch.
It is an absolute pleasure to play this fine instrument and to be whisked away to faraway places and times gone by.
