Yuichi Imai 1982 - extremely beautiful sounding classical guitar from this great Japanese luthier!

Yuichi Imai is one of Japan's most respected and experienced luthiers, who has been working as an independent instrument maker since opening his own workshop in 1971. Several top players such as Aniello Desiderio, Frank Bungarten and Alvaro Pierri have played Imai guitars. Due to the high demand in Japan, very few of his guitars are exported, so it is a pleasure to offer one for sale here at Vintage Guitar World.

This particular instrument is built with stunning materials, including this gorgeous rosewood for the back and sides. It also has a spruce top of excellent quality. The craftsmanship is also exquisite. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.

Tonally, this is a powerful classical guitar with plenty of volume and weighty presence, reminiscent of the great Madrid instruments from the 1960s and 70s. The basses are powerful and even, while the trebles are full, balanced and cleanly separated, making this guitar an incredibly versatile instrument for any musical setting.

The guitar is in good condition and has no cracks or repairs. It has some signs of use as you would expect from an instrument that has been played regularly over the years. It plays great with a straight neck and low action.

The guitar comes with the original case.
