Juan Miguel Gonzalez 2004 - fantastic sounding flamenco guitar from Almeria.
This wonderful guitar was made by Juan Miguel Gonzalez in 2004, who is widely recognized as one of the great guitar makers of the present day. Juan Miguel Gonzalez was born in Almeria in 1947 and was taught by his father Miguel Gonzalez Abad (1906-1989), who in turn had been apprenticed to the Moya brothers (who were close friends of Antonio Torres and had learned from him). For this reason, Juan Miguel Gonzalez is considered the last heir to Antonio de Torres.
Juan Miguel's guitars have a special duende that professional players seek and love. To name just a few of his customers: Tomatito, Norberto Torres, Monolo Franco, Carlos Piñana, and El Niño de la Manola. As is typical of Juan Miguel Gonzalez's guitars, this instrument was also made from first-class woods. The top is made of the best spruce, the back and sides are made of flawless cypress.
The scale length is 652 mm and the nut width 52 mm. The set-up is excellent: flat, fast, without buzzing.
The sound of this flamenco guitar is simply spectacular, mainly because of the volume and quality of the sound: the basses are powerful and deep, with an incredible flamenco sound. The trebles are well defined, with an amazing range.
It has an exquisite tone that is sweet, beautiful and lyrical, while retaining the bite and energy of an excellent flamenco guitar.
The guitar is in very good condition with minor traces of use. It comes with a matching guitar case.
