Mariano Conde 2017 „Media Luna“ - Flamenco guitar with cutaway and Fishman pickup.
Mariano Conde is a luthier with tradition. He is the direct heir to the old workshops of Conde Hermanos and Esteso, founded in 1915. Mariano Conde lives for this heritage: building guitars with a soul, using the artisan techniques from more than 100 years of company tradition at Conde.
Conde flamenco guitars are very popular with musicians and have been played by famous guitarists for generations: Paco de Lucia, Manolo de Huelva, Nino Ricardo, Sabicas, Esteban de Sanlucar, Oscar Herrero, Jose Manuel Canizares, Rafael Riqueni, Enrique de Melchor, Al Di Meola, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, John Williams, Lenny Kravitz, David Byrne, Toninho Horta...
This Conde Flamenco, with the well-known Media Luna head, has a fast response, crisp bass, lively treble and a nice growling, dry sound that is so typical of a good Conde.
Although still relatively new, this guitar already sounds very open and responds quickly to every string attack.
Mariano's choice of wood with his famous „old stock“ is sensational. The top is made of selected first-class spruce with a beautiful grain, the back and sides of solid and beautiful maple. The scale length is 664 mm and the nut width 52 mm. The guitar was built with a cutaway and a Fishman pickup.
All Mariano Conde flamenco guitars are unique. They are made entirely by hand with a handwritten label and individual numbering.
The guitar has a few signs of use and a professionally repaired crack on the top. It plays exceptionally well with a straight neck, a low string action and a pleasant neck profile.
The guitar comes in its original case, which also shows some signs of use.
This guitar is a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally good sounding instrument, with many modern features but built in the traditional Conde Hermanos way.
