A true dream guitar and an impressive piece of music history - this stunning Martin OM-28 1931 acoustic guitar is a real gem with a wonderfully balanced, warm and clear vintage sound. With all the coveted pre-war features - including scalloped bracing, herringbone binding and elegant snowflake inlays - it embodies the essence of „Holy Grail“ acoustic guitars.

We are delighted to have this exceptional Martin OM-28 1931 acoustic guitar in our collection. The tonewoods used are simply breathtaking: rare, old Rio rosewood, of a quality that today's luthiers can only admire, combined with an Adirondack spruce top that has developed a beautiful golden patina over time. This guitar has not spent its life in a case - it has been played and loved, developing a richness and openness of sound that only decades of playing can produce. Its light weight and smoothly played mahogany neck feel like a gently worn banister - simply a pleasure to hold.

And the sound? Everything you would expect from an early 1930s Martin OM-28 - powerful, resonant and incredibly dynamic, with fantastic projection and sustain. The depth and openness of its sound are unique and testify to almost a century of this instrument bringing music to life.

For its age, this Martin OM-28 1931 acoustic guitar is in great condition, but has received some expert restoration over the years. Several cracks have been professionally repaired, and it has had a neck reset (including a heel repair) as well as a refret to ensure the best playability possible. The bridge and banjo tuners were later replaced, and the finish was professionally oversprayed. Despite this work, the guitar has retained all its charm and magic.

This Martin OM-28 1931 acoustic guitar is far more than a collector's item - it's a living, breathing instrument with history in every note, ready to inspire generations of musicians. It comes in a high-quality, modern case for optimum protection. A truly special instrument that embodies Martin's legendary craftsmanship in an impressive way.
