Miguel Garcia Cabezas 2000 Classical Guitar - Exquisite handcrafted guitar with powerful sound and unique design
Occasionally we come across instruments that really amaze us - this guitar is one of those rare discoveries. Its extraordinary design immediately caught our attention, and when we heard its sound, we were completely blown away. It's loud, deep and full of magic - honestly, it's one of our absolute favorite guitars!
Miguel Garcia Cabezas is a highly respected guitar maker from Burgos, Spain. With over 30 years of experience in building classical and flamenco guitars, he has developed a unique construction method that combines traditional Spanish craftsmanship with innovative techniques. While his work is deeply rooted in the Spanish guitar making tradition, he has explored unconventional materials and creative solutions - including carbon reinforcements, zero frets, electric guitar machine heads and unusually shaped headstocks. His instruments not only impress with their extraordinary design, but also with their outstanding tonal characteristics.
This special guitar, built in 2000, has a beautiful cedar top and rosewood back and sides. With a scale length of 664 mm and a nut width of 52 mm, it offers a perfect balance between comfort and playability. The eye-catching headstock is another example of Garcia Cabezas’ unique style.
The sound of this guitar is exceptional. It has a powerful, assertive voice with an impressive balance between clear, singing highs and deep, full basses. Its dynamic range is enormous and enables both the finest nuances and powerful projection. The tone is warm and expressive with a mysterious, almost ethereal quality. The sound unfolds with complex overtones and a presence that effortlessly fills any concert hall. This guitar can easily compete with instruments costing two to three times as much.
As it has been played a lot, it shows clear signs of use - but this does not detract from its charm. As is so often the case with exceptional guitars, it is the ones that are played the most that produce the best sound. It is excellent to play, with a low action and a straight neck. The adjustment is 3.7 mm (E) and 3.0 mm (e) at the 12th fret, whereby the bridge saddle still offers sufficient leeway for a lower setting.
The guitar is supplied in a sturdy case.
A rare and exceptional instrument - ideal for guitarists who are looking for both individuality and an outstanding sound.
