Rare opportunity to own a Manuel Reyes flamenco guitar, built by the great master in 1991, with a furious sound that will definitely impress you!
This guitar also belonged to 2 professional flamenco musicians. The first owner was Nino de la Leo from Cadiz. The second owner was Nikos Tsiachris from Berlin. On the music video „Primavera en Berlin“ we can experience this guitar live.
Manuel Reyes (1934-2014) was undoubtedly the most famous flamenco guitar maker in Spain at the time of his death. Manuel's reputation was so great that Luis F. Leal Pinar dedicated an entire chapter to him in „Guitarreros de Andalucia“ (2004).
Manuel only made around 20 guitars a year. The demand for his flamenco guitars was so great and the waiting list so long that he stopped accepting new orders more than 20 years ago.
Since his death, the demand for his guitars has only increased. It is a rare opportunity to get one of his guitars.
This Manuel Reyes has the best flamenco sound imaginable. It produces sharp percussive rasqueado, can also play sweet, and has a throaty growl when desired.
Definitely a sound you can fall in love with. A sound that you can find on the recordings of the great old master guitars.
The flamenco guitar is perfectly adjusted, with a low string action and a straight neck.
The nut width is 52 mm and the scale length is 655 mm. The top is made of fine alpine spruce and the back and sides are made of cypress. The guitar has a shellac finish.
The guitar has been played by a professional guitarist and you can see the signs of use. Otherwise it is in great condition and plays very well!
We also have a video in which you can see how the guitar is played live on stage.
The guitar comes with a hard case.
