Gibson LG-1 1949 - definitely the coolest LG-1 we've had in a long time, we'll explain why ...

This 1949 Gibson LG1 has that wonderful dark sunburst that Gibson did so well in the 40's, with a beautiful tortoiseshell pickguard, the sunburst has a cool vintage touch and has aged beautifully. You can already guess from the pictures that this guitar has that open and woody vintage sound you've always wanted.

The special thing about this guitar is that Gibson has used Adirondack spruce for the top. Insiders know exactly what this means and what difference it makes. It has a rich sound, is open and very vintage with a strong woody nuance. We have had many LG-1 guitars in the past and can honestly say that this one is just right for a vintage guitar lover.

It's great for bluesy fingerpicking, but it's also very versatile, handles strumming very well and has a lot of bite when soloing. The neck feels great and the action is very comfortable (the neck has been reset).

The guitar has a few repairs, all of which have been well done. Our luthier has checked the guitar and it is ready to play. The serial number (FON) is faded.

The machine heads are vintage-style replacements and it has a piezo pickup installed (brand unknown).

It comes with a newer guitar case.
