Hermanos Conde 1983 Faustino Conde Flamenco Guitar - Traditional flamenco sound of the Conde dynasty

The Hermanos Conde 1983 Faustino Conde flamenco guitar is an outstanding example of classic Madrid flamenco guitar making and bears the unmistakable signature of Faustino Conde, one of Spain's most influential guitar makers. Instruments from his workshop are synonymous with the unmistakable sound that has significantly shaped flamenco since the 1970s and 1980s and is still considered a reference today.

Faustino Conde, who emerged from the school of Domingo Esteso together with his brothers Julio and Mariano, continued to develop the famous Conde style and perfected it over decades. Faustino in particular was considered by connoisseurs to have the greatest feel for sound, response and balance. Guitars from the 1980s mark a particularly mature phase of his work: traditionally built, explosive in sound and at the same time astonishingly controlled.

This Hermanos Conde 1983 Faustino Conde flamenco guitar embodies exactly this character. The sound is clearly recognizable as Flamenco Blanca: fast, direct and highly percussive. The basses are dry and powerful, the mids woody and present, while the trebles shine with that typical Conde brilliance that effortlessly carries rasgueados, picado and alzapúa to the front. At the same time, the guitar has enough warmth and dynamics to make even lyrical passages expressive.

The guitar was made from classic tonewoods of Spanish flamenco guitar making. The top is made from selected cedar, the back and sides from fine cypress. The Spanish cedar neck sits comfortably in the hand, while the ebony fingerboard ensures precise response and stability. With a scale length of 664 mm and a nut width of 54 mm, the guitar offers the authentic playing feel that professional flamenco players appreciate. The string action is set comfortably low (2.8 mm E and 2.2 mm at the 12th fret) and enables extremely fast, effortless playing across the entire fingerboard.

This Hermanos Conde 1983 Faustino Conde flamenco guitar has been played and shows honest signs of use, as you would expect from a seriously used instrument. Some cracks have also been professionally repaired. The guitar is structurally sound and has been inspected by our luthier. It is in very good playing condition and is ready for stage, studio or demanding practice.

The Hermanos Conde 1983 Faustino Conde flamenco guitar comes with the original hard case.

A Faustino-Conde guitar from this period is far more than just an instrument. It is a piece of living flamenco history and carries the sound that has inspired generations of guitarists. Guitars of this quality and authenticity have become rare today and are prized by players and collectors alike.
