Martin 0-30 1917 Acoustic Guitar - Extremely rare Pre-War Vintage Martin in Style 30 with exceptionally good sound!

The Martin 0-30 1917 acoustic guitar is without doubt one of the most beautiful and at the same time rarest instruments from Martin's early history. Style 30 was one of the upscale models in the Martin range and stands for exceptional elegance, high-quality materials and the finest craftsmanship from the golden era of guitar making.

This Martin 0-30 1917 acoustic guitar impresses visually with its multi-colored wood marquetry as binding and purfling as well as a noble abalone rosette. It has a much more restrained appearance than fully abalone-bound models, but exudes a timeless, very classy aesthetic. The snowflake inlays on the fingerboard are also particularly noteworthy - a detail that makes this guitar a genuine historical work of art.

The Martin 0-30 1917 acoustic guitar is in very good condition for its age of over 100 years. The following work and details should be mentioned:

  • New Ebony Pyramid Bridge in a stylistically correct vintage design
  • New Maple Bridge Plate
  • Professionally performed neck reset
  • Professionally repaired crack on the side
  • Golden Era StewMac guitar machine heads

The guitar has the usual signs of wear in the varnish that you would expect from an instrument over 100 years old. It is stable, checked and ready to play. The nut width of the guitar is a comfortable 45 mm and the string action at the 12th fret is perfectly adjusted at E 2.4 mm and e 1.8 mm. The guitar also has its original case.

In terms of sound, this Martin 0-30 1917 acoustic guitar impresses with a very fine, balanced and open vintage tone. Thanks to its light weight and the Elixir 80/20 Bronze 10- 47 strings, the guitar develops a voluminous, explosive sound that also has a warm, intimate character. The sound is clear, elegant and extremely musical - perfect for fingerstyle, ragtime or early American music styles.

The Martin 0-30 1917 acoustic guitar is not an everyday instrument, but a rare collector's item with substance, character and musical potential. It combines historical significance, aesthetic beauty and expertly executed restoration work to create an exceptional vintage guitar that will delight both players and lovers of old Martins.
