Description

Spectacular sounding Guild Navarre F-50 1966 – built in Gibson Jumbo style, it has a very impressive vintage sound!

Guild is one of the big US-American manufacturers of guitars beside Martin and Gibson. The company was founded in 1952 by Alfred Dronge and George Mann. By 1956 Guild was already so successful that they had to move to larger premises in Hoboken, New Jersey. Here some of the Guild guitars that are in great demand today were built.

During the 1950’s and 1960’s, Guild supplied many of the famous musicians and became increasingly popular.

From the golden age of Guild comes this great F-50. This is the “old” F-50 shape and clearly marks itself out as a competitor to the venerable Gibson Jumbo.

It has a low action and plays like a dream. Very comfortable & easy playing medium neck, with 42 mm nut width.
Yes it’s beaten up (to say the least)….but the great ones always seem to be! The sound resonant and punchy, with a full and deep Voice. It has the vintage warmth you want and is truely a charming instrument. The guitar boasts in high volume, big bottom end and beautiful clarity.

This Guild Navarre F-50 1966 is in rough condition, mainly because of the finish peeling. It also has a cracked pickguard, which has been repaired.
The finish peeling was stopped by our luthier so that the existing finish adheres relatively stably to the guitar.

It comes with a newer case.
