Martin D-18 Custom Shop “Sinker Mahogany” – amazing guitar with great sound quality!
This Martin D-18 Custom Shop holds some special features. The premium Sitka Spruce top has been treated with the VTS (Vintage Tone System) for a warm, tuned sound. Back and sides are made of premium quality Sinker Mahogany. “Sinker” in this case means that the mahogany logs sank to the riverbed while floating and lay there for several decades. With great effort, these logs were brought back to daylight and dried. This process is evident in the grain of the wood. Overall, the result is a warm, mid-range sound with plenty of power and very good balance. The Forward Shifted Scalloped bracing gives the top an amazing resonance, giving the player plenty of feedback from the vibration of the instrument. A really successful instrument that will delight any guitarist.
This guitar is from 2022 and almost in new condition. It comes with the original case and the custom shop documents.
