Jose Luis Marin is a guitar maker from Malaga. He is the son of Ramon Marin and learned from him and eventually took over the workshop.
His guitars are recognized and appreciated throughout Spain and beyond. Many of his guitars have been sold to Japan.
He taught many other guitar makers the art of guitar making, among them Domingo Garcia Cabellos. In 2003, this guitar was built by Domingo Garcia Cabellos in the workshop and under the supervision of Jose Luis Marin.
This guitar is a fine masterpiece, hand built using high quality materials. It has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.
The guitar is in a very good and well preserved condition. It is perfectly adjusted and plays comfortably, with a low action.
The guitar has a very nice sound and is also loud, powerful and has great dynamics – it has a large and deep body and this creates a sublime, almost majestic sound.
The sound is beautiful, masterful with concert quality. It has a lot of clarity, but at the same time incredible tonal flexibility. It offers the magic that only a masterfully built guitar can produce.
The guitar offers a wide range of beautiful timbres in all registers.
