Description
Karl Frey Baroque Guitar – very nice reproduction of a baroque guitar – made around 1915!
Karl Frey is a luthier from Amstetten in Austria. He won an award for his guitars in the Hispano-French Exposition of 1908 in Zaragoza. Later Karl Frey opened a music store.
This is a handmade guitar, a very nice guitar. Karl Frey built it in the style of a baroque guitar. But it plays like a modern guitar, with 6 strings and normal frets. It has a scale length of 610 mm and a nut width of 41 mm. It is very lightly built and therefore has a very good resonance with an impressive volume.
The sound of this Karl Frey baroque guitar is also clear and sweet. One feels directly transported into another time with the sound of this guitar.
A wonderful instrument to revive songs and sounds from past centuries.
This Karl Frey baroque guitar is a lot of fun and absolutely inspiring.
It has a spruce top and maple back and sides. It is in restored condition and plays very nice.
