Pre War Martin 00-18 1941 – this is an amazing example of a Pre War, light weight big bodied Martin guitar.
The 00-Modell is Martins medium 0 size guitar. On these Pre War guitar with an Adirondack spruce top, tortious shell pick guard, steel T bar neck reinforcement, mahogany sides and back, open back grovers and a scalloped bracing.
It has a beautiful even well balanced tone and is an amazing example of a cool player guitar. The sound is bold, open and woody – all you desire.
Many country and rock stars of the 50s and 60s for example Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson played such a guitar.
This one has all the vintage vibe you have ever dreamed about!
It is set up nicely with low action, straight neck and good frets. Perfectly playable.
It has extensive wear from play and use as you can see from the pictures.
A crack on the side, to the headstock and a small pickguard crack have been professionally repaired.
