Amazing classical guitar by Ignacio Manzano Rozas from 1995 – transparent and elegant sounding guitar!
Rozas was one of the best guitar builders of the 60s from the workshop of Jose Ramirez. He had a leading position there and opened later, as so many Ramirez luthiers did, his own shop in Madrid.
The workshop of Rozas was in the Calle Mayor only a few meters from his companion at Ramirez, Manuel Contreras.
The fascinating thing about this guitar is, that we can see the general Ramirez style of guitar building combined with Rozas’ own style and ideas.
The guitar is nicely decorated with an outstanding headstock design. It has a cedar top and nice rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
The guitar has a great sound … Rozas has built it in a much lighter way that the typical Ramirez guitars. This gives the guitar a fast response to the lightest touch. It has a robust, creamy quality to the sound and has a nice quick, bouncy responsiveness, a characteristic found in the best Spanish instruments.
It also has these deep basses and a round nice vintage tone. A rich sound with the most beautiful timbres. Definitely a guitar to fall in love with.
It is in a very nice condition for its age, with a small repair (professionally done) and the usual wear from play and use. The guitar comes with a suitable case.
