Widely regarded as one of the premier luthiers of our time, Juan Miguel Gonzalez was born in Almeria in 1947 and learned his craft from his father, Miguel Gonzalez Abad (1906-1989), who apprenticed with the Moya brothers, close associates of the legendary Antonio Torres. This lineage positions Juan Miguel Gonzalez as a key figure in the legacy of Torres.
Juan Miguel’s guitars possess a unique “duende” that professional players seek and cherish. Notable musicians such as Tomatito, Norberto Torres, Manolo Franco, Carlos Piñana, and El Niño de la Manola have all played his instruments. True to his craftsmanship, this guitar is constructed from master-grade woods, featuring a top crafted from premium spruce, while the back and sides are made from flawless cypress.
