Born and raised in Almería, he was deeply influenced by both the artistry of flamenco and the craftsmanship of his father, a highly respected cabinetmaker. From an early age, José spent countless hours learning the delicate art of woodworking, which later evolved into a passion for guitar making.
His dedication led him to study under some of the most renowned luthiers, including Andrés Marvi, Arcadio Marín, Javier Castaño, and Alfredo Mate, among others. Through their guidance, he developed a distinctive style that combines tradition with his own artistic vision—resulting in some of the most sought-after flamenco guitars in the world.

This Jose Salinas 2017 Flamenco Guitar has a cedar top and cypress back and sides. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width is 53 mm. It is in good condition – and it plays nicely up and down the neck with a low action (2.7 mm E and 2.2 mm e)
